Worst Enemy - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

I am my own worst enemy
Who treats people pretty terribly
With a lot of insensitivity
And a soupçon of my senility
It’s not what I intended
And I regret at how things ended
But like I said I’m my own worst enemy
And I’m hoping for a little leniency
Hmmm
After trying to think up excuses
For my interpersonal abuses
I can offer up no reason why
Or any rational alibi
I seem to be quite careless
For my lack of self awareness
So before I really fossilize
I will sincerely apologize
For habits that are irksome
For being a member of the jerkdom
This seems to be my legacy
To be my own worst enemy
