The world has become infinite
In a selfish sort of way
A million billion people
All trying to have their say
Instead of coming together
We all are pulling apart
Instead of helping others
We end up breaking hearts
The world has become intricate
In a nihilistic sort of way
We all have become enraptured
By rushing towards dooms day
Some revel in the past
While the future's being plundered
The present is so fragile
While the world gets torn asundered
We all are insulated
In a toxic sort of way
The tone is hyperbolic
In everything we say
Truth is now the victim
As we hope for sanity
Power is the incentive
As we strive to humanity
The world has become less intimate
In a depressing sort of way
We're lost in our technology
As we survive another day
We struggle with our feelings
And stay inside our shell
We avoid the touchy feely
And text the LOL
Let's put away (de)vices
And bask in face to face
Instead of incivility
Let's bask in life's embrace
