Wallowing in a very dark place
Ashamed to reveal my own face
Unable to outrun the mood
Lost somewhere in the neighborhood 
No safe haven in the dead of night 
No sense of hope, no shimmering light 
The darkness is all consuming 
My brain is warped by the glooming
Just schlepping my faults and failing
Melancholy is prevailing
