companion in the night
see her in the darkness
just an illusion in the light
emanating from the supernatural
otherworldly spiritual healing
foolishly losing all control
emotions send hearts reeling
fantasies won’t last a night
life is far too brief
loneliness might be safer
but we all need some belief
the dawn brings isolation
a sense of deep forlorn
per chance some solitude
love is what we mourn
