Tattooed Lady - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

The dryer went kaput today
I'm sad there was no warning
I'm sitting in a laundromat
On an early Sunday morning
There are a lot of people
Yet little laundry being done
At least no one is smoking
Before the rising sun
Someone is sitting on a bench
His eyes are almost closed
I don't know if he's sleeping
He's definitely indisposed
Then there's the Tattooed Lady
She's working up a sweat
She has a lot of clothes to wash
But little help as yet
A dragon or a snake
The tattoo is comprehensive
It covers most of her body
It's really quite extensive
There's more of her tattoo
Then the few clothes she is wearing
The artwork is fantastic
But I feel guilty staring
There's now an unlit cigarette
In Tattooed Lady's mouth
I need to leave here soon
Before the air quality goes south
She cannot find a lighter
My drying's nearly done
I need to leave the laundromat
It's time to fold and run
