Stringing together words in a marginally competent fashion
Trying to write some positive thoughts with a trace of true compassion
Mainly I am not known for being the most optimistic person
Overly prone to mistakes and the subject of a lot of cursing
My mind is being undermined, bereft of any confidence
Is this creativity or just inane verbal incontinence
Someday I’ll write a poem that might be considered very profound
But today is not that day as my sanity is unsound
