Season - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

It's that time of the season
When I'm battling unreason
Where I'm overwhelmed by doubt
That I find the need to shout
About a feeling of regression
And the sense of deep depression
There are moments when I'm low
And there's no place left to go
Then I tend to lose control
And act like a giant asshole
I'm running out of hope
On a slippery downward slope
I've been searching for some healing
But all that is revealing
Is that insanity and age
Have conspired to make me rage
Against the overall unfairness
And my lack of self-awareness
I need to atone for the misgivings
And find a way for living
Without guilt and deprecation
Without miscommunication
To find love and understanding
Which keeps my soul expanding
That tomorrow will be great
That I will be free of hate
That I've left all doubts behind
And at last some peace of mind
