Once More Into The Fray - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

Once more into the fray
Of idle words and subtle meaning
A little nausea, some artful screaming
Of daily woes and nightly dreaming
A dose of creative quarantining
Where the words are syncopated
Where the problems liquidated
All the senses are inundated
And the heart is infiltrated
I wish the desire for infiltration
Was filled with romantic titillation
But there is no bare skin stimulation
During the downhill hibernation
Round-the-clock writing to remind
Unraveling of the undefined
Ensuring nothing’s left behind
Revealing passions in the mind
Sometimes I worry about the write
If it’s banal or just too trite
Probably ‘cause I’m not that bright
Wish I could sleep through the night
