In the end the real world is finally bringing joy
In the end I fooled myself and found my inner voice
It wasn't very easy because I'm stubborn like a mule
It wasn't very easy because I've acted like a fool
But in a fit of madness, I suddenly became aware
That time was not too short and I still had time to care
I cast myself adrift from unmet expectations
I'm searching for some facts with a touch of imagination
Appearances still matter, the truth is hard to face
I've become a hopeful dreamer, a positive embrace
I realize that I've been lucky to be this freakin' old
It's like I've sought asylum now I'm sheltered from the cold
I find that my heart is bursting, clearly thirsting for the change
It may sound kind of sappy but I'm happy .... very strange
At last reality is finally crystal clear
At last I've realized there's nothing left to fear
There's peacefulness and harmony each moment every day
I celebrate the positive and serenity 'long the way
