Gr8ful 4 U - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

I know a lot about a little and a little about a lot
I know that I’m a mumbler and can’t speak a cogent thought
I know that when I’m nervous I become silent as a mouse
And when I feel petrified I disappear inside my house
I have a lot of faults that are open for review
But the best thing in my life is that I am grateful to know you
I’m pretty much a screwup whose timing is always wrong
I am lacking in self-confidence and don’t know where I belong
There must have been a rift in the continuum of time and space
Because a schlub like me should never met someone with infinite grace
I seem to lag behind, at least a step or two
It’s utterly amazing that I’ve gotten to know you
I’m basically a smart ass, an overwhelming tool
Who once thought he could be human but was better as a fool
I want to take this moment so my words aren’t misconstrued
It’s truly unbelievable, I am grateful to know you
