Gilligan - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

The tide has gone and I’m still stranded on this lonely planet, filled with bigotry, sophistry and misogyny.
I was hoping that my inability to float would sweep me away into the ocean deep, no ebb or neap, no sow or reap.
I weary of the bickering. The constant anger triggering. The reality blurring and the dog-whistle slurring.
No SOS or Mayday to save ourselves from ourselves. Just an implosion of civility, an erosion of empathy and an explosion of dignity.
We need a gilligan to reunite us. Pure of heart and simple minded, sympathetic and color blinded.
