Fatalistic Feeling - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

I am tired of concealing
That I’m fatalistically feeling
My old body’s no longer healing
A subtle change in the atmosphere
The aches are never-ending
My flexibility is so unbending
My self esteem is quite descending
It’s way past time to disappear
The downhill slide has been quite swift
My state of mind is pretty miffed
My whole body’s been cast adrift
The end seems pretty near
No atonement from the coming storm
No shelter left that’s safe and warm
No acts of redemption to perform
I object to the advancing years
