Doldrums - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

Dole drums start thumping this time each week
An indecent descent into the bleak
A virtual shutdown has sadly occurred
Lots of missteps into the absurd
Dull drums of monotonous moaning
Overwhelmed by grating and groaning
Escaping from the doleful haze
Marking time till end of daze
Dell drums down in a cluttered clearing
Amidst the injudicious jeering
Afraid to be in my own skin
Lost within a clamorous din
Dill drums of a daily quandary
Losing in the lifetime lottery
Hammered by the incessant thrashing
No more need for an ego smashing
