Deep Dive - ON WRITING AND RUNNING

I have sunk to a place, the depth is unfathomable
The vitriol is such that the abyss seems quite habitable
My downward plunge has made me consider I am worthless
It has gotten so dark, please tell me where’s the surface
At times I feel too hyper and my pulse is out of whack
Sleep does not mean rest as the brain is under attack
I have neither dignity nor any confidence
My doubts are self-fulfilling and lead to incompetence
Despite the melancholy, there is an eerie calming
Perhaps if I’m lucky the next step will be embalming
