Right now I think I’m losing it
And there’s no excuse for this
Other than I’m old and gray
Eventually I’ll be towed away
Idling in the righthand lane
Watching minutes go down the drain
Mindful of my limitations
Careless with the calculations
No more speeding, no more reading
No more dreading all the bleeding
Avoiding any perceived wrath
Taking a circuitous path
Hoping for some peace and quiet
Living in a world divided
Hoping to find a safe way home
Just waiting for the great unknown
Everything has become so grave
Peaceful silence is what I crave
